Around TownOn this week’s Around Town show, the Bank of America Chicago Marathon, the Chicago International Film Festival and the Chicago Humanities Festival tops Vocalo’s senior hip hop correspondent Gabe Mendoza and co-host D.L. Hopkins’s list of best weekend events. A couple off-the-beaten path happenings make the cut, too: Diasporal Rhythms annual tour takes you behind the doors of four South Side homes to explore artwork from black art collectors, and the grand reopening (after closing for a month-long renovation) of Ruby’s Restaurant (formerly iconic West Side soul food eatery Edna’s Restaurant) in East Garfield Park.
